Larry George Sale , age 73 of Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. David Wellborn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie-in-state from 1:30 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Larry was born April 3, 1948 in Wilkes County to George Steward and Nadine Staley Sale. He was a member of Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church where he served on the Building & Grounds and Vehicle Maintenance Committee. Larry loved being a Papa, fishing, working in the garden, logging and working in the woods. He also loved Sunday cooking, helping people and volunteering at many places in the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Carol Kurfees and Judy Huber.

He is survived by a daughter; Schae "Alex" Sale Mathis and husband Dylon of Roaring River, a son; Gabriel "Gabe" Sale of Wilkesboro and a granddaughter; Amelia Mathis.
