From The State, August 10, 2018:

David James Parker, Lexington- David James Parker of Lexington, SC died June 5th, 2018. He was a 1970 graduate of the Citadel. Upon graduation he entered service in the US Navy as a surface warefare officer, where he earned a master's degree at the Naval Post Graduate School. He was an active member with the Citadel alumni in Lexington, SC and an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his two sons and four grandchildren.

Editor's Note: Dave was an Education major and a proud member of "T" Company...a Sergeant and a 2Lt.,Intercollegiate football, Student Education Association, on the Dean's List, a Bond Volunteer and a Summerall Guard.
