Charles Love Terry III of Columbia died on March 12, 2003. Born in Columbia on August 9, 1948, he was a son of the late Charles L. Terry, Jr. and Frances Harvey Terry. A 1970 graduate of The Citadel, Mr. Terry was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the United States Army. He was also a graduate of USC School of Law. He was a life member of The Citadel Alumni Association and a member of the S.C. Bar Association.

Surviving are brother, C. Harvey Terry of Columbia; sister and brother-in-law, Pat T. and David Lee Gardner of Mt. Airy, N.C.; nephew, David Lee Gardner, Jr. of Mt. Airy; and niece, Leanne Gardner of Mt. Airy, N.C.
