Glenn Smith, Conway, SC- Glenn "Gregg" Smith, age 69, husband of Mary Margaret Wilson Smith passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. Mr. Smith was born October 29, 1948 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Glen C. and Tina Huggins Smith. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and served on the very First Horry County Council and as past president of the International Sertoma Foundation. Mr. Smith was a very proud Citadel graduate. He will be remembered for his lively sense of humor, his love of a good story and hand-written note. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son Hammond Oliver Smith. Surviving in addition to his wife of Conway are: a daughter-in-law Alexandra Smith and two grandchildren Ryker and Easton Smith of Atlanta, GA, and many extended family members and very dear life-long friends. Also, his beloved pets Chill and Sugar. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2918 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the memorial of your choice. Editor's Note: Gregg was a proud member of India Company. A Political Science Major, he participated in Intercollegiate Sports (Golf Team), was the Orphanage Fund Treasurer, in the Denominational Group, The Senior Class Board of Directors, The Block "C" Club, and was Vice-Chairman of the Regimental Advisory Committee.
